Bharat Ek Parichay (an introduction to India) – Sharing Knowledge with the World

 

The “Bharat Ek Parichay (an introduction to India) – Sharing Knowledge with the World’’, initiated by the Consulate General of India, Hambantota office donated 51 books to the Main Library University of Ruhuna, on 15th September 2022.

 

The Consul General (Actg.) Mr. Atul Aggarwal, the Vice chancellor Prof. Sujeewa Amarasena and the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Saman Chandana grace with a presence on this occasion and they were joined with Consul General to visit the Library, specially the Indian Corner and other collections. The donation constitutes Indian General Classics (20), Indian Schedule Languages (21) and Popular Indian Stories (10). These books showcases Indian’s cultural diversity, its heritage and ethos, religious and geography etc.

 

These books are important for the University Students to improve their knowledge in the long standing civilizational links and the shared heritage between India and Sri Lanka.
