Mr. J. A. Ajith joined the University of Ruhuna in 2018 as an Assistant Librarian at the Library and now, he is working as the Senior Assistant Librarian at Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna. He obtained a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2008, followed by an M.A. in Economics from the same university in 2012, a Master of Information Technology (MIT) from the University of Colombo in 2015, and a MSSc in Library and Information Science from the University of Kelaniya in 2022. Before joining the University of Ruhuna, he also served as a Computer Instructor at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 2009 to 2014. He also served as an Assistant Librarian at the University College of Matara (UCM) from 2014 to 2018. Also, he served as Assistant Registrar (Acting) at UCM for 16 months from 2017.
