Mr. L.C. Jayanath joined the University of Ruhuna in 1999 as a Library Attendant attached to the Main Library. He was transferred to the Engineering Faculty Library in 2000. Currently, he is working in the Library/ Lending Section as a Library Attendant Special Grade. Prior to joining the University of Ruhuna, he rendered his service as a Labour in University of Colombo.

• Participated for a training course on Library & Information Science for Library Attendants conducted by National Science & Documentation Services Board, Sri Lanka in 1999.
• Participated for a Workshop on How to deliver a perfect service for Library Attendants conducted by University Librarians Association (ULA), Sri Lanka in 2007.
• Participated for a Training Workshop for Library Supportive Staff in the University system conducted by University Librarians Association (ULA), Sri Lanka in 2017.
