Mr. S.N. Punchihewa joined the University of Ruhuna in 1994 as a Library Assistant (Grade III) attached to the Medical Library, Faculty of Medicine. He is still working in the Faculty of Medicine Library. Currently working as a Senior Staff Assistant (Library Service).

• Member of Sri Lanka University Library Information Assistant Officers Association (SLULIAOA ) since 1994.

Participation in Continuous Professional Development Programmes/Workshops

• Successfully completed the Certificate Course in CDS/ISIS conducted by the National Science Foundation in 1997.
• Successfully completed the Course in computer hardware and networking course under IRQUE Project 2007.
• Successfully completed the Course in Adobe Premiere course under IRQUE Project 2007.
