Document Supply

Books and periodical articles that are not available in the library can be obtained through interlibrary loans from other libraries via the Document Supply Service offered by the Library. Please contact the Senior Assistant Librarian of the faculty at Library@eng.ruh.ac.lk for assistance.

Information Literacy Workshops

Information literacy is defined as the ability to find, analyze, organize, use, and communicate information in all its forms, especially in situations involving decision-making, problem-solving, or knowledge acquisition. The library has initiated workshops on topics such as information literacy, referencing, literature searches, and plagiarism prevention. Users can request these workshops from the library.

Inter Library Loan service

Books and photocopies of research articles from journals that are not available in the University of Ruhuna Library but can be found elsewhere can be obtained through our interlibrary loan service. To request an interlibrary loan, readers should use the application form provided in the link below.

Plagiarism Checking

The library offers access to similarity checking facilities through the Turnitin platform for the university community. Students and staff can seek assistance from the library to check for plagiarism in their papers and theses, with the library's support.

Reading Room

The reading room facility attached to the library is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Requests for extended opening hours can be accommodated.
