The Library of the Faculty of Agriculture successfully conducted the Library Orientation Program for the newly enrolled 2025 intake (48th Batch) students on 23rd April 2026 for the following degree programs:
- Agricultural Resource Management and Technology
- Green Technology
- Agribusiness Management
The program was organized with the objective of familiarizing new students with the library facilities, resources, services, and information support available for their academic activities throughout their university journey.
The orientation session commenced with an introductory presentation conducted by Mrs. Inosha Amarasekara, Assistant Librarian, Faculty of Agriculture. During the session, students were introduced to the library collection, borrowing facilities, digital resources, library rules and regulations, reference services, and the importance of information literacy and ethical use of information resources in higher education.
Following the introductory session, students participated in a guided library visit coordinated by Ms. Inosha Amarasekara and conducted with the support of the library staff of the Faculty of Agriculture. The library tour provided students with practical exposure to different sections of the library, enabling them to become familiar with the physical arrangement of resources and available study facilities.
The Faculty Library warmly welcomes the new students and looks forward to supporting their academic and research activities throughout their university life.
