The Library Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Ruhuna organized a book-binding workshop for Library Assistant staff of the University of Ruhuna Library System on 8 October 2026 at the Library, Faculty of Medicine, Galle.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. M.D.S. Samaraweera, Book Binder, Library, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna. The session aimed to enhance participants’ practical knowledge and skills in book-binding techniques and the preservation and maintenance of library materials.
Ms. Sakunthala Senevirathna, Senior Assistant Librarian, University of Ruhuna, coordinated the workshop as part of the Library’s ongoing efforts to strengthen staff competencies and improve the quality of library services.
